Terms & Conditions
1. About Us
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and participation in sauna sessions operated by Hebridean Saunas.
By making a booking or attending a session, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
2. Booking & Payment
2.1 A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received either in person or online.
2.2 Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect confirmed bookings.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
3.1 Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 12 hours before the session start time.
3.2 Cancellations within 12 hours of the session are non-refundable.
3.3 Failure to attend a session (“no-show”) will result in full forfeiture of the booking fee.
3.4 In the event that we must cancel due to unsafe weather conditions or operational issues, you will be offered a reschedule or full refund.
4. Health & Safety
4.1 Participation in sauna use and sea immersion is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.
4.2 Sauna bathing involves exposure to high temperatures (typically 70–90°C).
4.3 Cold water immersion may expose participants to risks including cold water shock, strong currents, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions.
4.4 You must not use the sauna or enter the sea if you:
* Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
* Have a heart condition or uncontrolled blood pressure
* Are pregnant (without medical advice)
* Have a serious medical condition without consulting a medical professional
4.5 You are responsible for assessing your own fitness to participate.
4.6 You must exit the sauna or water immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, unwell, or uncomfortable.
4.7 All participants must follow instructions provided by staff at all times.
5. Assumption of Risk
5.1 You acknowledge that sauna use and sea immersion involve inherent risks in a natural outdoor environment.
5.2 You accept full responsibility for your health, safety, and personal belongings during your visit.
5.3 Entering the sea is entirely optional.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hebridean Saunas, its owners, employees, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation, except where caused by proven negligence.
6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
7. Arrival & Session Conduct
7.1 Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session start time.
7.2 Sessions start and finish promptly. Late arrival may reduce your session time.
7.3 Respectful behaviour is required at all times. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any guest behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner without refund.
8. Personal Property
8.1 Personal belongings are brought to the site at your own risk.
8.2 We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal items.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be published on our website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
